For this Jeep owner, that meant bringing one of her favorite gaming worlds out of the screen and onto her vehicle with a custom hood wrap inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

And this wasn't going to be just a logo or a small character decal.

She wanted a piece of art.

From Hyrule to the Hood

The client came to us with a specific vision: a vibrant watercolor-style scene featuring Zelda high among the clouds with the iconic Master Sword incorporated into the artwork.

That gave our design team an opportunity to create something much more artistic than a traditional vehicle graphic.

We built the composition specifically around the Jeep's hood, using the available space to give the artwork room to breathe while making sure the most important elements remained visible once the graphic was installed.

The soft watercolor aesthetic, dramatic clouds, and recognizable imagery all came together to create a hood that feels more like a moving piece of artwork than a typical vehicle wrap.

Designing for the Vehicle Matters

One of the biggest differences between putting artwork on a vehicle and actually designing artwork for a vehicle is understanding the surface.

A graphic can look incredible on a computer screen and completely lose its impact once it's stretched across body lines, contours, hinges, vents, or other features.

That's why placement matters.

For this Jeep, the composition had to work with the shape and proportions of the hood. Each major element was positioned so the finished graphic remained balanced and recognizable when viewed on the actual vehicle—not just on the design screen.

It's a detail that can make the difference between artwork that looks applied and artwork that looks like it belongs.
